Marios Stylianou is a conductor, composer, pianist and music teacher.
Marios studied Music at the University of Southampton, UK, and Symphonic and Operatic Conducting at the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory in Russia, under the guidance of Alexander Polishchuk, trained in the Ilya Musin Conducting Technique. Additionally, he took part in masterclasses with Julius Kalmar, Mark Stringer, Peter Stark, Yuri Simonov, Leonid Korchmar, Pavel Bubelnikov, Osvaldo Ferreira, Dorian Wilson, Robin Browning and Marios Papadopoulos.
Marios was the Musical Director of the Southampton University Chamber Orchestra, Southampton University Composition Ensemble, and Jazzmanix Pop & Gospel Choir. He also served as Assistant Conductor of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra and Resident Conductor of the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory Orchestra. He made his debut in 2015 with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, and has collaborated with orchestras in Cyprus, Russia, United Kingdom and France.

As a pop/jazz pianist, he enjoys a busy life playing in various bands and duets with singers, covering genres such as pop, rock, jazz, latin, amongst others.
As a composer, he was awarded second prize in the 5th International Composition Competition “Coups de Vents” in France, June 2015, with his composition “Ethnominimal” for symphonic wind orchestra, published by Europa Musica Publishing.
Βesides his conducting and performing activity, Marios teaches music privately and occasionally leads workshops in Conducting, Ensemble Leading and Rehearsing.
